Building Bridges Articles & Editorial Opening: (From Dan Dowd) We are once again accepting article submissions for the local Church publication Building Bridges. We are a semi-annual publication that seeks to provide fellowship in the written word. We accept meditations, life stories, and poetry. This issue is going to be a special issue on Endurance, so we are accepting articles or stories about Endurance through trials, or any form of Endurance. If you are interested in writing an article, submit it to 2022buildingbridges@gmail.com. The Building Bridges editorial team is available to provide grammatical assistance. The deadline for submissions is January 12th, 2026, with publication to follow.
Also, this is Carl Knaack's final issue as Editor of the Midwest Building Bridges. Anyone who has experience in publications or would be interested in applying to serve as the next editor should email 2022buildingbridges@gmail.com. The main requirements as editor are connecting people with stories, motivating people to write articles, and being able to organize and grammatically proof future issues. Thank you for your interest.

In order to give you a post-Thankgiving respite, we'll prepare a Taco Salad meal with the main course, sides, and coffee/tea. If you'd like to bring a drink or dessert to share, feel free to bring something along with your favorite board or card games. We'll shoot to keep the cost of the meal down to around $3-$4. Funds to cover the cost of the meal can be given to Kim Olar.
