Letter from Dan Preston – April 10, 2026

No Pin

Greetings brethren and happy Sabbath! Just a reminder that services will be at 10:30 AM in all three congregations tomorrow.

Busy time

I’m not sure about you, but this is a very busy time of year for me. There’s the Passover season of course that we just completed, the General Conference of Elders is only a couple of weeks away, then Pentecost, right after that is camp and by then, I’ll be in full swing preparing for the Feast of Tabernacles.

Beyond all that, the grass seems to constantly need cutting these days, my wife has flowers for me to plant and if there’s any time after that, the weather is perfect for a Friday night ride to the ice cream stand…

Fitting it all in

So how do we fit it all in? Well, to be honest, sometimes we don’t. We let the grass slide a few days, we put off meetings we need to schedule and maybe instead of going out for ice cream, we rummage through the freezer to see if we can find a sweet treat to satisfy our craving.

Some things can take a back seat in terms of priority, others cannot. For example, the countdown to Pentecost is already under way. If God saw fit to institute a method for us to count it down, then surely, that tells us it must be of importance.

Set to grow

As the hustle and bustle of this busy time of year begins to ramp up, let’s make sure we maintain the spiritual momentum we gained from Passover and Unleavened Bread.

With our covenant renewed, and our minds filled with the unleavened bread that is Jesus Christ, let’s continue to stay close to God, be watchful for sin that might creep in and set to grow with the wonderful gift of God’s Holy Spirit!
