Letter from Dan Preston – August 21, 2026

Good evening brethren and Happy Sabbath!

Are you ready?

For what, you might ask. To keep the Feast! Just five weeks from tonight begins the Feast of Tabernacles.

So what exactly does going to the Feast mean to you? I’m sure it conjures up lots of memories of good times in the past. And you’ve probably got things you look forward to doing this year, wherever you go. But what does it actually mean to keep the Feast?

A feast to what?

Think of a big celebration you might go to, such as a graduation or retirement party. Who’s the most important there? The graduate or retiree of course. The same is true for the Feast of Tabernacles.

“Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord’” (Leviticus 23:34). The Feast is to the Lord!

Joyfully rejoice

While the Feast is focused on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we are invited to share in the celebration of His coming kingdom. In tomorrow’s message, we’ll look at what we can do to make sure we do more than just attend, the Feast, we keep it!
