Soaking up the sun

Yesterday was amazing. Here it is, late December and it was 75 and sunny. I have to admit, more than once I found a reason to go outside and just stay there, soaking up the sun. While it’s a little chillier today, tomorrow is supposed to be nice as well, so I hope to do the same then as well!

Growing up in Ohio, a warm, sunny day in December is a true rarity. So, whenever I get the chance to enjoy one, I jump at the chance to.

Other opportunities

What other rare opportunities do you relish? Some dream of being involved in the ground floor of a financial success story such as Apple, GameStop, Bitcoin. Those who recognized the money making potential of those enterprises early on were well rewarded.  You just have to know when to get in and get out of such ventures.

Many people spend their lives searching for such opportunities, when in reality, a much bigger one is available to all, free for the taking.

Greatest opportunity of all

John 3:16-17 reads, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Everyone - the whole world - has the opportunity to be saved. Not all are called at this time, and some have chosen to reject the calling. But all people will have the most fantastic opportunity that can or ever will be - the enter into the kingdom of God as a part of His family.

If the weather happens to give you an unseasonably, warm sunny day, enjoy it. If a lucrative business opportunity arises, it may well worth be taking. But no matter what, make sure you seize the opportunity God is extending to you today to enter into His family and have eternal life in the kingdom of God!
