Letter from Dan Preston – March 27, 2026
Good evening brethren and happy Sabbath!
Get ready
I think it’s safe to say that spring is here. I just cut my grass, it’s almost 90 and my car is turning yellow from all the pollen. Before you know it, the streets will be filled with children riding their bikes on summer vacation.
Of course, that’s only one aspect of spring. Passover and Unleavened Bread are just days away. Are you ready?
An early start
For us, we managed to get the leaven out of our house early this year due to the garbage collection schedule. That’s really nice, because it means I can start enjoying all those unleavened treats early!
Being ready early in a physical sense is nice, but not the most important thing. The better question to ask ourselves is, “Am I ready spiritually?”
Still time
If you haven’t taken time to examine yourself before the Passover, the good news is there’s still time. A day of prayer, fasting and meditation as we approach this most solemn will go a long way toward completing this important goal.
I hope everyone has a very meaningful Passover and Night To Be Much Observed and I look forward to seeing everyone on the upcoming Holy Days!
