Good evening and happy Sabbath!

Keep on Truckin’

Do you remember when you used to see that phrase on bumper stickers and shirts everywhere? It was an informal way of encouraging others to keep at whatever they were doing–working, studying, etc.

Of course, that phrase has lost it’s popularity over the years. If you remember using that phrase, you probably also remember pet rocks and cordurouys and Tab. But the sentiment–to keep up the hard work–is still a good one.

Remember the Feast?

Two weeks in the past, the Feast of Tabernacles can seem like a distant memory. But during the Feast, there’s a certain feeling of elevated joy. Wouldn’t it be nice to have that all year long?

Actually, you can. It’s a little more involved that just repeating a catch phrase like “Keep on Truckin’,” but it’s possible.

Feast all year long

While we can’t literally keep the Feast of Tabernacles all year long, there are certain elements of the Feast that we can carry on throughout the year. By doing so, we can keep some of that joy to help us keep on truckin’ through the year!
