Letter from Dan Preston – October 17, 2025
Good evening brethren and happy Sabbath!
Home Sweet Home
Welcome back from the Feast! No matter where you went or even if you were not able to attend the Feast of Tabernacles and 8th Day in person, I hope you had a very profitable and spiritually fulfilling Feast.
That being said, it is always nice to get back home. After doing my inspection of the house and yard, turning on the water and electric and making sure everything was in good working order, it was nice to finally crawl into my own bed.
I even had opportunity to turn on my furnace this morning to make sure it worked, which, thankfully, it did. Although I would have been content to not have to test it for a few more weeks.
What did you learn?
Hope this Feast was an opportunity to not just refresh your focus on the coming Kingdom of God, but learn a few things as well. Perhaps it was a deeper understanding of God’s plan, re-learning something you forgot, or simply learning the names of some new brothers and sisters.
Whatever it was, what will you do with it now that you’re back home?
Share the joy
As firstfruits, we have a job. It’s summarized by our Lord in Mark 16:15 as, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Learning, understanding and even believing the gospel is not enough. You and I must share it. That doesn’t mean we all have to give sermons or stand on street corners, but we do need to share it. Tomorrow, we’ll look at some lessons on how we can share the joy of the coming Kingdom of God.
