Greetings all and happy Sabbath!

Checklists

If you’re like me, you’re anxious counting the days (or hours, perhaps?) until you leave for the Feast of Tabernacles this year. Also, if you’re like me, you have about a half a dozen lists that you’re busily checking off, trying to get things set before you take off. And, lastly, if you’re like me, you’re looking at those lists and thinking, “I’m never going to get all this done…”

Well, you might not get it all done, but here are a few things you definitely need to get done before you leave:

1. Pray.  It goes without saying we should pray, but as you prepare for the Feast, don’t forget to ask for God’s blessings and protection, not just for yourself, but on all His people as they travel, prepare to serve, and gather to honor and worship Him.
2. That’s it.

Everything else will take care of itself. Sure, you probably want to turn off your lights, pay a few bills and pack the car, but let’s be honest, none of us usually forgets to do those things. But stopping to put all our worries into God’s hands? Yeah, we forget to do that sometimes…

If we truly put our trust in God, ask for His blessing and guidance to honor and worship Him, He will ensure everything else falls into place.
