Bible Discussion April 6 @ 11AM
Brethren,
As we approach the Passover, we begin the amazing rehearsal of God's plan of salvation for mankind. A plan that begins with the Sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ, but does not simply end there. It is the sacrifice of Christ that begins the process, but it is our active participation that leads us to the promise of salvation.
If we are to become disciples of God, we must begin by following our Master's lead. We must walk as He walked, and live as He lived. After all, a disciple is a person who believes in the ideas and principles of his Teacher and strives to Live the way they did.
In our case, our Teacher and Master is Jesus Christ.
As disciples, our walk begins with repentance and baptism and becomes a lifelong journey of conversion. It is this conversion that brings us to unity with our Father, our Savior, and each other in the Church of God.
With this in mind, our Bible Discussion this upcoming Sabbath will center around conversion. In preparation for the bible discussion, I recommend the following reading as homework. You can use the link below or simply click on the attached file to begin your study.
Although it is recommended to read the entire guide, for purposes of our Bible study we will focus on the following topics.
WHAT IS CHRISTIAN CONVERSION?
- GOD’S COMMITMENT TO CHANGE OUR NATURE
- WHAT IS CONVERSION?
- THE IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE
- WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
- BAPTISM: WHY DO WE NEED IT?
Looking forward to learning and growing together in Christ.
