Sabbath Thought – Fall Holy Days Excitement

This time of year is so amazing to consider in God’s plan of salvation for mankind. While you and I have a glimpse now of the reality to come, there are multiple billions who have not understood God’s purpose in creating mankind – and yet while many consider those condemned who have never had their minds opened to God’s way of life, we know otherwise.

The Holy Days that we are in the midst of now play a huge part in restoring mankind’s relationship with God. Last week on Trumpets we pictured, once again, the return of Christ to this earth to rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords as He begins the process of undoing all of the damage done under Satan’s rule. With the Day of Atonement, we anticipate the removal of Satan as the promoter of sin, and this sets the stage for Christ’s Millennial rule pictured in the Feast of Tabernacles. What an amazing time this will be in mankind’s history – a thousand years of peace and harmony learning and living under a completely different mindset and approach to life. While the Feast of Tabernacles is a time for those who live through the Tribulation before Christ’s return, the Last Great Day (The Great White Throne Judgment) will be for all of those billions who lived and died never knowing God’s plan of salvation, His law and His way of life.

1 Timothy 2:4 tells us that God’s hope is for everyone who has ever lived to understand that they could be part of God’s family. This is not known by the vast majority of mankind, so I suspect there will be a lot of surprised individuals as they are resurrected to be taught God’s way of life as they see the fruits of a thousand years of Christ’s rule.

Are you excited about these days? Are you excited for the billions of individuals who will one day understand God’s way of life? Every day there seems to be something in the news that reminds me the stage is being set for the end-time events, and time is indeed short, but as one man said, we know the ending to the story. Indeed, it is an exciting and wonderful time to come.

I wish you all the most enjoyable and spiritually profitable Fall Holy Days, and I wish you a profitable and value filled Sabbath,

Dan Dowd
