Picnic
NYC Picnic - 9/15/24 @11am-3pm:
Hello Brethren,
Based on the feedback about a location for a picnic I think a good option will be Kissena Park. I went to the park yesterday and looked around. It’s a beautiful park with plenty of space, playgrounds, trees, a lake, and restrooms. The brethren from CGI and other Churches of God in the area will also be invited to join us for the picnic.
I think the easiest option for us would be to meet at the northeast corner of the park since there are restrooms nearby. This at the end of Oak Avenue where it meets 164th St. There are several bus lines that stop at the park as well as street parking on Oak Ave and 164th St.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to cook/barbecue any food at the park, but we can bring picnic foods and beverages to eat and share. It might also be a good idea for people to bring some chairs if they have them.
