Greetings Brethren & Magandang Umaga (Good Morning),

Nissa, Hannah and I are wishing you all a Happy Sabbath from Davao in the southern province of Mindanao. As Friday begins for you all back home, we are watching the sunset here in Davao, welcoming the sabbath after a long day. The past two days have been very exciting and challenging as we are learning how to navigate in a foreign culture. The brethren have been encouraging, hospitable, and very helpful on many levels. We are making wonderful memories with each one and learning just how much we all have in common. Thank you all for the prayers and have a wonderful Sabbath.

Mabuhay,
Ryan Hall

  1. Online Donations and Holy Day Offerings: Our apologies for the inconvenience, but the Church’s donation website is currently undergoing maintenance due to circumstances beyond our control. It is highly likely that the donation website may not be functioning before the upcoming Days of Unleavened Bread, and therefore unable to process online Holy Day offerings. Please bear with us as we work to restore it to normal operation. In the meantime, we have 3 options that you may use to submit Holy Day offerings: 1) wait for the website functionality to be restored and then indicate for which days the offering was intended, 2) use your bank’s online bill pay and include a note in the memo letting us know for which Holy Day the offering was intended, or 3) consider using your green offering envelope on the Holy Day or by mail to send in your offering. Thank you for your understanding.
  2. Sight & Sound Production of "The Story of Ruth": Performance of Ruth in Sugarcreek June 12th:

  1. Garage Sale / Fundraiser: We need your extras!  Susan Miller is planning a garage sale at their house during the Sugarcreek Garage Sales, May 9 & 10th. The idea is to sell our stuff as a fundraiser for our N. Canton Building Fund. We need your donations! We also need help on the sale days.  Please see Susan about contributions and drop off times.
  2. Troyer’s Hollow Campout: Mark your calendars for the Annual Troyer’s Hollow Campout June 21-23, 2024! Nestled in the scenic hills of Amish Country near Charm, Ohio, Troyer’s Hollow in the Doughty Valley, it has a long tradition within the local community and the church as a relaxing retreat. A beautiful creek winds through the secluded canyon hollow where we will camp. We have the entire property for two days, and one side on Sunday. Activities planned include a Friday evening Bible Study (8:00 PM), Potluck at Noon, Sabbath Services (2:00 PM), kettle popcorn over the fire, and many campfire discussions.

The campground has covered pavilions with a small kitchen, nicely maintained bathrooms, and shower facilities.  Tent camping is most popular, though there are a few RV/Camper sites.  There are also hotels in the area for brethren who are non-campers.  Please contact Mary Miller or Susan Miller to make your reservations, especially for RVs and campers.

Please plan to provide your own meals and drinks, aside from the Sabbath Potluck where everyone shares in providing and enjoying the meal with abundance. Don’t forget your camping chairs.

Cost: by donation (a donation box will be available) - Arrival Time: Friday, June 21 after 3 PM                     Departure: Sunday, June 23 by 2 PM

Nearby hotels are available for those who do not wish to camp. Alcohol is prohibited on the property.

If you wish to come, or just have questions, please contact Mary Miller (mary@crawfordmfg.com, 330-204-6972) or Susan Miller (330-204-1756)
