Announcement Bulletin for November 23, 2024
North Canton Announcements:
- Service Times:
· November 23rd – 10:30AM (Potluck afterwards)
· November 30th – 10:30AM
Current Prayer Requests:
2. Richard Walters: Your prayers are requested by Richard and Janice Walters. Richard has been retaining water and is in pain. They’ve been keeping his legs up because otherwise he is having trouble breathing. He’s developed some sores now on his legs. Please pray for God’s intervention, comfort and mercy for the Walters.
3. Linda Ritter: Linda would like to thank you for your continued prayers as she receives advice and treatment from her doctors. She’s currently scheduled to have surgery on the 29th of this month to remove the cancer. They are very optimistic that they caught the cancer early, and told her she has a good prognosis. She’s had a lot of appointments though so she’s pretty weary but overall feeling good.
Recent Prayer Requests:
4. Ursula Rodgers: Ursula has been having issues with her right arm. It started a couple of weeks before the feast and during the feast she was anointed. The pain travels down from her shoulder into her arm, and now into her fingers. As the pain has continued, and intensified, she’s had some testing done (this past Friday) and is awaiting results from the X-rays and tests. Being right-handed, this has now begun to inhibit some of her normal activities (besides the pain). Please pray for her relief and healing.
5. Staci Shawgo: Bonnie Anderson is asking for prayers for her daughter Staci Shawgo.
Staci has lupus which is attacking her hands and finger tips right now and causing her fingers to be infected. Her nails are curling, turning black and falling off with bleeding and pain. Please prayer for her, knowing God can heal her. Thank you in advance for your prayers.
6. Prayer Request Update - Becky Giesler
From Steve Myers, MMS:
Becky had surgery yesterday morning, and the surgeon was able to perform a "total gross resection," meaning they successfully removed 100% of the visible tumor. This outcome is far better than anticipated. However, because glioblastoma is considered an aggressive, terminal cancer, there are still microscopic cancer cells that couldn't be removed. We’ve been told that any remaining cancer may grow 75% faster than before the surgery.
Despite this, Becky’s progress has been incredible. She’s doing much better today—she’s in good spirits, although still tiring easily. She’s gaining strength quickly and even walked down the hall without a walker with the physical therapist’s support. There’s a chance she may be released tomorrow afternoon.
We remain hopeful that with God’s mercy and intervention, she will beat the odds. Please continue to pray for her strength and healing as she has a long road ahead. So far, things are looking very promising, though there are no guarantees yet.
We are so grateful to God and for the visible answers to prayer. We also want to thank everyone who has been praying fervently for Becky and ask for your continued prayers and support.
