Good Works and United Youth Corps are co-sponsoring a project in Maloca de Moscou, Brazil from December 27th, 2015 through January 4th, 2016.
We are seeking four individuals (ideally two men and two women) who are passionate about God’s way of life and are willing to stretch outside of their comfort zone. Team members should be able to maintain a positive attitude when faced with uncomfortable conditions, and be able to adapt to a changing schedule; proficiency in the Portuguese language helpful, but not necessary.
Funds are also necessary to purchase equipment related to the camp.

David Rains was born in Sublimity, Oregon and attended the Salem, Oregon church area for three years. He then moved to Virginia and then to Massachusetts. He is now a baptized member of the Worcester, Ma church area. He loves working with the youth in the church teaching them about God and helping them build a closer, personal relationship with Him. He was able to serve at a church camp in Brazil and also in Jamaica. He enjoys the piano and the great outdoors. David is the oldest of six children and is a senior in College studying Biology.
Stella Helterbrand was born just outside of Cincinnati, OH and she grew up in attending the Church of God. She loves to travel, cook, and help others. In 2005 she attended Ambassador Bible Center, and in 2010 she participated in the United Youth Corp project in Amman, Jordan for two years. While living in Amman, Stella traveled to 10 countries and has been to at least nine other countries for the Feast of Tabernacles and personal travel. Upon her return from Jordan the opportunity arose to work as the Food Service Manager for Ambassador Bible College, she is entering her second year in this position. One of the most enjoyable parts of her time in Jordan was helping people; through service projects for the refugees or talking a student through a difficult time.
Isaac is currently a nurse and lives in Cincinnati, OH. He hasn’t always lived there but moved to Cincinnati to attend the Ambassador Bible Center in 2012. Isaac is very passionate about serving and helping people with their needs. He also thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and creating new relationships.
Len Martin was ordained in 1999 and is presently the pastor of the United Church of God congregations in London, KY, Knoxville & Kingsport, TN. Len has previously pastored congregations in Worcester, MA, Seabrook, NH, Cambridge, Columbus, Mansfield, and Dayton, OH.
Len holds undergraduate degrees in engineering and information systems as well as an MBA in Finance. Len and his wife have been raised in the Church of God and have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. They are very thankful for the Biblical truths on marriage, family, child-rearing and many other interpersonal relationships.
Jorge and his wife Kathy serve the Dallas (TX) and Lawton (OK) congregations. Jorge was born in Portuguese East Africa, now Mozambique, and also lived and served the Church in South Africa. He is also responsible for God’s Work in the Portuguese language, and has been visiting Portugal, Brazil and Angola at least once a year. Kathy was born in Pennsylvania and also served for a number of years in South Africa. They are the proud parents of five children, with 12 grandchildren and live in Allen, north of Dallas (TX).
Kathy de Campos, along with her husband Jorge, serves the Louisville and Lexington congregations and they are responsible for God's Work in the Portuguese language.They have been serving the Brazilian brethren since 2010. They have both served in Youth camps in South Africa. Kathy is the Administrative Assistant for Ambassador Bible College.
