Eagle's Nest Orphanage 2015

United Youth Corps and Good Works will once again be co-sponsoring a project at the Eagle's Nest Orphanage!

This project will take place in Guatemala from Dec. 25, 2015, until Jan. 8, 2016. Plans are being made to run a three-day program with Guatemalan brethren’s children prior to going to Eagle’s Nest Orphanage.

Chelsea Dawe received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Daemen College in 2010 and graduated from Ambassador Bible Center in 2011. Her passions include drawing, reading, dancing, and singing. She also enjoys learning about other cultures. Chelsea loves working with children and has been a counselor at several United Youth Camps through the years. Chelsea lives in Cincinnati, Ohio where she is the receptionist at United Church of God.

Having completed a bachelors degree in graphic design and communication, Corbin currently works from home as a web developer in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has enjoyed staffing United Youth Camps for over one decade, and has also had the opportunity to travel to Ghana and Guatemala with United Youth Corps.  

Corbin developed the UCG Hymnal App, and hopes to be able to contribute more volunteer work for the church. 

An ABC graduate of 2006, Corbin enjoys opportunities to fellowship with others of like mind. Some of his hobbies include making puns, photography, video editing, music composition and performance, improv, and spending down time with friends.

Garrett is a Development Coordinator for Cooperative for Education, an organization dedicated to ending poverty in Guatemala through Education. He has participated on the Guatemala Youth Corps project four times, twice as one of the trip coordinators.

Lisa Fenchel lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband Matthew and their two grown children Lynette and Garrett. She has a passion for working with children and teens and has actively participated in youth camps for the past 25 years in a variety of roles. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Katie-Jo Dacey is originally from Portland, OR but is now currently living in Cincinnati, OH. She graduated Ambassador Bible Center in 2014 and is currently attending Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in pursuit of her Associate's degree in Applied Business with a major in Pastry Arts. Some of Katie's hobbies include cooking, sewing, running, riding bikes, and painting.

Courtney Dacey is a member of the Los Angeles, CA United Church of God congregation. She serves in her congregation by performing special music solo and choir pieces. She has attended various United Youth Camps for the last nine years; both as a camper and a staff member. Courtney works as a consultant for Ernst & Young.

Stephanie Rorem was born, raised, and currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area where she attends the Oakland United Church of God congregation. She has a Bachelor of Art in studio art from San Francisco State University where she focused in photography and printmaking and currently works for an artist in home decor lighting fabrication. She has staffed at UCY Hye Sierra for five years from 2008 to 2013.

Shannon attends the Melbourne East congregation in Victoria, Australia. She is 21 years old and is currently in her third year of studying a bachelor of Primary Education and Disability. Shannon has found a passion in teaching children with disabilities and currently works as a casual teacher’s aide in a special school. She also teaches part time at a swim school. Shannon has been to United Youth Camps Australia many times as a camper and once as a staff member. She believes all children are God’s children no matter their limits and abilities.
