The return of Donald Trump to the presidency signals significant global shifts, but ultimate control of world events rests with God, whose guidance humanity must seek.

In witnessing the remarkable return of Donald Trump to the U.S. presidency, there is a sense of dramatic change. America’s actions loom large on the world stage, and populist movements are advancing in other Western nations. Where is this all headed?

There are major domestic and international crises to contend with, some further inflamed as the new U.S. administration prepares for its responsibilities. Will things now worsen, or might we see a tamping down of some troubles for a time?

No matter what happens, it’s vital to remember that ultimate direction of world events lies with God, whom all of us need to humbly seek. God has warned in Scripture of the consequences of ignoring Him and His laws. We must look to His Word to lead us—learning to love Him above all and to love other people as ourselves.
