Boomers Rethink Retirement

1 minute read time

I have been seeing a number of articles like this one at USA Today about the number of baby boomers who are rethinking retiremement plans. The financial recession have forced many to work longer and to take on extra jobs–sometimes two to make ends meet.

Recent employment figures show an increase in boomers in the job market. Retirement is going to be a different picture than most of us have thought. This weekend my high school class meets for its fortieth year reunion. I wonder how many stories will be shared of a far different life than what was imagined when we entered the workforce all those years ago?
