A "red and white revolution" may be building in Lebanon...thousands took to the streets a week after the assassination of Rafik Harari calling for Syria to get out of Lebanon. Tuesday's Financial Times (subscription required) carries an article, "Berlin warns of further rise in jobless rate". German labor minister Wolfgang Clement has warned that February employment figures will bring further bad news for German. "The February figure will be significantly higher" Clement said on Monday, February 21. This will bring Germany's unemployment Europe to the highest level since 1932. The ruling Social Democratic Party lost ground Sunday in elections in Schleswig-Holstein, forcing them to form a minority government.
