An Answer You Don't Expect
My coworker could not seem to open his mouth without using some profanity or taking God's name in vain. It got to the point where I hated to see him coming to my desk. He seemed to be talking louder and louder.
No one else seemed to be bothered by it. I needed my job and had worked very hard to get to my position, so I didn't feel I could quit, though it was becoming unbearable. On one particularly bad day, I went to the washroom and on my knees asked God to please make it stop. Several weeks later, this man was fired after 23 years of working for the company. The reason was never made clear to me.
I know the company wouldn't have fired him without a good reason, and though I never would have wanted that and hope and pray for the best for him, I was thankful that his leaving also came as an unexpected answer to my prayer.
