Lessons from Home

1 minute read time

The book of Proverbs advises us to listen to our father’s instruction and not to forsake our mother's teaching (Proverbs 1:8).

Our parents enrich our lives by teaching us lessons at home. Parents cannot learn for their child and they cannot live life for the child. However, the fullness and joy of the life of a child depends greatly on the positive presence and help from their parents.

Children learn to read and write at school, but it is at home when they learn what to read and what to absorb. Children learn how to think, question and research material in the school, but they learn their core beliefs at home. Life can be a hard and cruel teacher, yet parents should love at all times and allow their teaching to be a gift to their children. Learn well.
