Restoration
We are probably all familiar with Christ's prediction that Peter would deny Him three times.
Peter claimed he would die with Christ before he denied Him (Matthew 26:34-35). But instead, as we know, the disciples forsook Him and Peter did deny Christ (verses 56 and 75). But there's more to the story! Christ also predicted Peter's return to Him (Luke 22:32)!
God had a plan for Peter, and though he was weak, God did not give up on him. Just like Peter, we may fall short. But we can return to God, and He is faithful to restore us (1 John 1:9). God has a plan for each one of us, and nothing can keep Him from accomplishing it (Romans 8:35-39)! All He asks of us is that we willingly obey Him and trust Him to give us what is good forever.
