Uniquely Yourself

1 minute read time

Some people say they have to "find themselves."

That is a search with no end because the self is always a different person. We change physically just like our likes and dislikes change. Our needs and knowledge change—along with the ability to use that knowledge. Paul states this envied position as a result of his own experiences in life. He wrote that he was content with everything in his life. In Galatians 5:3 we read that Paul struggled at times with trying to do what was right opposed to what his personal nature desired.

Paul also wrote that he was content with everything in his life. He was content with himself (Philippians 4:11-13). Paul could have said, “I have learned that I am me! I can do things, but I cannot do the things that I would like to do. Great contentment have those who have the wisdom and grace to strive not to offend others. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” This requires us to love who God made us to be, and then show love to others.
