Mark Twain painted this powerful word picture: "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.
The Bible says more poetically: "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver" (Proverbs 25:11). With practice and thought we can all improve in the art of communication. Take a little time to think about the things you say and the answers you give. Choose your words carefully, and your word pictures can be powerful and pleasing.
