Ecclesiastes 10:20 cautions us all to zip our lips when it comes to cursing our leaders—or even thinking curses. “A bird of the air” may carry that secret to where you would not want it to go.

Many people spend much time denying things they were reputed to have said—apologizing and even lying—in order to try to take back the secrets they have revealed. In the end, it leads to a loss of respect from others and worse.

Learn to zip it up—and save yourself the grief.
