Karl Rove tells us that President Bush is an avid reader of books. The two, Bush and Rove engaged in a contest to see who could read the most books in a year. Rove won, for the third year running. It is a reminder of the joy of reading books and delving into the curiosity of our world and events. I plan to use the article as a prod to kick start my reading habits. I have already reserved several books at my local library and I am stacking all my unread books by my favorite reading chair. My goal is a book a week during the next year. I’ll keep you informed how I am doing.

Darris McNeely

Darris McNeely is a retired elder in the United Church of God. He and his wife, Debbie,  have served in the ministry for more than 53 years. They have two sons, who are both married, and four grandchildren. Darris continues teaching at Ambassador Bible Center and is a member of the Council of Elders. Darris and Debbie continue to travel and keep up with the many friends and relationships around the world.
