Passports: Travelers need to ensure that their passports are valid for at least three months beyond their planned date of departure out of the 26 European countries in the Schengen Area. However, please note that the U.S. State Department also advises Americans to have at least six months’ validity remaining on their passport whenever they travel abroad.

VisasNo visa is currently required for travelers from the U.S., U.K., Australia, and Canada to visit France if the visit is less than 90 days.* For citizens of the European Union, a national ID card is all that is required. Visitors from countries other than those mentioned above should check with the nearest French consulate or embassy to verify travel formalities.  However, please see the two important notes below:

  1. Effective January 8, 2025, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be required for travelers of various nationalities (including American) to visit and/or transit through the UK.  Visit this link for further details.
  2. *The European Union is planning to implement a similar process, but the date when it will go into effect is still TBD; as of January 21, 2025, the best estimate available is mid-2025.  The process will require a passport with at least 3 months of validity remaining, completing an online form, and paying a small fee that is estimated to be about $10.  Here is a link to an article with some FAQs.

If you will be flying into the Nice Airport and taking our shuttle:

The Nice airport (NCE) is about 70 km from Club Miléade La Gaillarde (approximately a 1-hour drive). A shuttle bus will be provided to and from the Nice airport on Monday, October 6 for arrivals, and Wednesday, October 15 for departures.

If you would like to take advantage of the arrival shuttles on Monday, October 6, please plan to arrive before 2:30 pm. The last shuttle bus will leave between 3-3:30 pm. If you are unable to arrive before 2:30 pm, you will need to make alternate transportation arrangements to get to the hotel.

For the return shuttle on Wednesday, October 15, departures typically begin at 4 am and extend to noon, depending on flight departure times. We ensure adequate time for scheduled shuttle departures, so no one misses his/her flight.

For those purchasing a shuttle to and/or from the Nice airport, you will receive a questionnaire asking for your flight numbers and arrival/departure times. This questionnaire will be sent to you around Monday, August 25, to be completed by Monday, September 8. The per-person cost for a one-way airport shuttle is €40 each way. Infants under two are free as long as they can be held and do not take an additional seat.

If you plan to drive or take the train from Nice:

By car: Take the A8 to exit 38 for St Raphaël & Fréjus Centre. Stay on D37 and then D7 toward Fréjus, then follow the St Tropez signs onto D8 to D98B then the coastal road RD 559. (Note: the A8 is a toll road; as of January 2025, the estimated toll “péage” to get from the Nice airport to the resort is less than 10 EUR.). Continue through the town of Saint-Aygulf and turn right at "Miléade / Les Issambres La Gaillarde". Parking is available on site.  Press the button on the side of the gate to open and then request the code at reception for the long term parking.

By train: Arrive at the TGV station of Saint-Raphaël / Valescure. You can take the bus Varlib (n°7601) and get off at the stop "La Gaillarde" in front of the Village Club Miléade (20 min bus ride). You can also take a cab to the site from the Saint-Raphaël train station.
