As we look forward to celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles and Eighth Day, consider the pleasant temperatures and beautiful beaches in sunny Florida. These festivals are an excellent time to reflect on the magnificence of God’s creation, whether strolling barefoot along the shoreline or thinking about the vastness of the ocean! This environment helps us to remember God’s millennial promise that one day “the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9).

Services

Church services will be held daily at the spacious Ocean Center convention hall in Daytona Beach. In addition, Bible studies will be offered for various age groups, along with “meet and greet” gatherings for the young adults and teens, plus education classes for the youth. Some of the greatest blessings of gathering together are to be reminded of our Father’s plan and spending time with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our goal for every member is to grow closer to God and one another!

Housing

Daytona Beach offers numerous housing opportunities, including all sizes and price ranges of hotel rooms and suites, condominiums, studio apartments and homes. Oceanfront and Oceanview rooms are available in all price ranges. Members should be able to find suitable accommodations within a few minutes of the Ocean Center, which will be the center of our Feast activities.

Activities

A variety of group activities will be planned, including a family day, a Halifax River Dinner Cruise, and a seniors’ luncheon. Daytona also has a wide range of places for shopping and dining as well as world-renowned attractions. These include the Daytona International Speedway, the Daytona 500 Experience, the Boardwalk and Pier (with its amusement park), Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and of course endless miles of white sand beaches. The Kennedy Space Center is located about an hour or so south of Daytona Beach.

Since parking is limited in Daytona, the Church rents a parking lot from the Ocean Center during the Feast. We have exclusive use of this lot 24 hours a day. Please keep in mind the Convention Bureau will reimburse the Church a set amount for every night that a room, condo or house is rented in Daytona or Volusia County during the Feast. This reimbursement will offset the Church’s cost of parking, so we are requesting all attendees to book their reservations through the rental companies listed in this housing brochure. When you make your reservation, be sure to let them know you are booking for the United Church of God Feast of Tabernacles.
