2026 FOT Lake Junaluska - Prayer Updates and Surveys:

Hello All,

Lena and I wanted to thank you all for a wonderful Feast of Tabernacles in Lake Junaluska. It was truly a group effort!

On the 8th Day a handful of people asked about the housing survey. You can access both the housing survey and the general survey online from the links on this PDF document: 2026 FOT Surveys.pdf

If you have difficulty with the PDF or the links feel free to email me.

I also wanted to share a sad prayer update with you all. On the 8th Day we received an urgent prayer request. This was passed along from Candy Vinson from the Paducah, KY congregation. On Wednesday, her granddaughter, Winnie Betancourt, who was back home, fell and hit the back of her head. She got up and then fell limp, was breathing but unresponsive. She was airlifted to a hospital and diagnosed with a brain bleed and a stroke. Unfortunately on the 8th Day Winnie had died.

On a personal note, I was sharing the details of Winnie's death with one of our nephews that evening. He quickly remarked, "But she will be in the resurrection!" which instantly reminded me of the great hope we have! "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works" (Revelation 20:12-13).

At this time I don't have an address to share with this update. Let's continue to pray for Candy and her family as they go through this very difficult time.

Regards,

Lewis VanAusdle
