Lake Junaluska General Information (9/22/26):

Hello from Lake Junaluska!

Lena and I arrived today to the area and had a chance to briefly tour our Feast site. It’s really a beautiful location!

I have some important information for everyone, as well as some helpful documents to share:

• Detailed Schedule with Activity Information: I’ve typed up more details about the planned activities on this document (Lake Junaluska 2026 Detailed Schedule). There is also a map included and a schedule for counseling and anointing: Lake Junaluska 2026 Detailed Schedule - (9-22-26).pdf

• Family Day (9/29) Sign-Up: Sign-up is still open for family day so we can get an accurate count. Payment for food can be made in person at the information desk ($24 per person or pay what you can). We want everyone to be able to eat if they want to and there will be plenty of food available. (See detailed schedule for more details on activities for Family Day). • Senior Luncheon (9/30): Sign-up is still open for the Senior Luncheon. Payment for the luncheon can still be made in person at the information desk ($25 per person or pay what you can). We want all the seniors to be able to enjoy this luncheon and there will be plenty of food for everyone. (See detailed schedule for more details on the luncheon). • 8th Day Lunch? (10/3): If there is enough interest (minimum of 25 people) individuals can pre-purchase lunch on the 8th Day to eat during services. To give the staff enough time to prepare, we’re going to try and end this sign-up on Friday, 9/25. (See note below about location of the pre-purchased meals)

• Meals Location Subject to Change: As noted in the sign-up and pre-purchase, the location for meals may change depending on how many have purchased meals. The original location was to be York Dining Commons. If you already purchased meals, the Lake Junaluska staff will inform you of the location where your meal will be.

• Donations for Activities: If you would like to donate funds to help supplement activities and meals for everyone you can make a donation to the Families Helping Families fund at the information desk.
  • Funds will go towards:
    • Cost of meals on Family Day and the Senior Luncheon for those who need assistance.
    • Family Day Wristbands for Outfitters Activities ($10 suggested donation).

• Limited Parking: Parking at Shackford Hall is extremely limited, but there are other parking lots we can use. Those who are staying nearby and are able to walkto the hall, walking is encouraged. Drivers can drop passengers off at the hall and then go park.
  • Parking Shuttle: Lake Junaluska does have a parking shuttle that will be available to shuttle people from parking lots to and from Shackford Hall before and after services, as well as for larger events and activities. (A more detailed schedule for the parking shuttle will be available soon)
  • Special Needs: Those with special parking needs should contact Ken Tessier (413-325-5160).
