We are again so pleased to announce the Feast in Mexico will be held at the all-inclusive Hotel Friendly in Puerto Vallarta. The facilities include three pools, Jacuzzis, a beachfront with warm ocean water and numerous activities within the hotel, among many other things. If the room block number is met, the hotel will be exclusive for our group, making it an ideal Feast for families with children, teens, young adults and singles. Translation into English will be available during services and they will alternate between English and Spanish according to the daily program. Space is limited, so don’t delay to sign in when the registration date arrives.
Puerto Vallarta is considered a safe zone in Mexico. Thousands of tourists from cruise ships visit the city every week. The hotel is close to the picturesque downtown and boardwalk area with plenty of transportation available, Ubers included. We have had the Feast in this location for 13 years and thankfully, haven’t had security problems. Even though the hotel is on the Pacific shoreline, the weather has mostly a semi-tropical climate with very few mosquitoes. Temperatures can range from the 70s to the mid-90s, depending on the time of the year and sometimes with high humidity. All meeting rooms and hotel rooms have air-conditioning.
Dining: Chefs prepare excellent buffets from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (with other food available round the clock, and no pork, shellfish or other unclean food will be served during our stay). There are also free drinks available, including wine, beer, tropical juices, cocktails and soft drinks. There are six restaurants within the premises, all free of charge for hotel guests. It includes a brick-oven pizza and grill station, and a coffee shop in the lobby with specialty coffee selections and cookies and pastries.
*Gluten: For any attendees that have gluten or lactose intolerance, the hotel chef can accommodate your needs as much as possible, but this is an all-inclusive resort, and we cannot accommodate highly sensitive diets. The chef can cook and prepare gluten-free foods upon request (noodles, pancakes, limited desserts) but this food will be cooked in the general kitchen that prepares non-GF food.
Activities: The hotel has a full-spa and gym, with one-hour Swedish massages at 30 percent discount for our group! There is also a free tennis court, a children’s play center and several Mexican shows that will be provided, including a children’s party.
Travel: The hotel is only 10 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta Airport (the Airport Code is PVR) and we have good rates with a taxi service.
Registration: Registration is now open
To register go HERE and create an account to fill out the Step 1 form. A $40 admin fee per account will also be added when you submit Step 1 (This fee is non-refundable).
Once you are accepted, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to access Step 2. A room(s) will be added to your account, and you will be instructed to pay a $400 deposit per room. This deposit is fully refundable until July 15, 2025. In Step 2 you will select your room configuration, and schedule ground transportation. After this, the final payment is due Aug. 15. Due to our contractual obligations, we collect all the payments and then send a bulk payment to the hotel. Once you get to the hotel, no payment will be due.
