Inside United Podcast #188: Randy Schmidt - Music

Randy Schmidt, trained musician and student at Ambassador Bible College, tells Victor Kubik the story of his musical journey, and how he has used his gifts to coordinate musical performances for the Feast of Tabernacles.

Active in the ministry of Jesus Christ for more than five decades, Victor Kubik is a long-time pastor and Christian writer. Together with his wife, Beverly, he has served in pastoral and administrative roles in churches and regions in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa. He regularly contributes to Church publications and does a weekly podcast. He and his wife have also run a philanthropic mission since 1999. 

He was named president of the United Church of God in May 2013 by the Church’s 12-man Council of Elders, and served in that role for nine years.

Mr. Schmidt and his wife, Darlene, were baptized in 1972. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, from where he retired in January 2020. He has served in musical and other capacities in the Church for 40+ years and sung with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus for 30 years. Mr. Schmidt attended Ambassador Bible College in 2020/2021 and graduated from the program on May 9, 2021.
