Inside United Podcast #231: Mark Welch - International Ministry Update

Through a series of Senior Pastor reports, Mark Welch, Operation Manager for Ministerial and Member Services, updates Victor Kubik on the state of UCG's international ministry.

Active in the ministry of Jesus Christ for more than five decades, Victor Kubik is a long-time pastor and Christian writer. Together with his wife, Beverly, he has served in pastoral and administrative roles in churches and regions in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa. He regularly contributes to Church publications and does a weekly podcast. He and his wife have also run a philanthropic mission since 1999. 

He was named president of the United Church of God in May 2013 by the Church’s 12-man Council of Elders, and served in that role for nine years.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Theology major, from Ambassador College, Pasadena, CA in 1978.  He married Barbara Lemke in October of 1978 and they have two grown children, Jaime and Matthew.  Mark was ordained in 1985 and hired into the full-time ministry in 1989.  Mark served as Operation Manager for Ministerial and Member Services from August 2018-December 2022.  Mark is currently the pastor of Cincinnati East AM and PM, and Cincinnati North congregations.  Mark is also the coordinator for United’s Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services and his wife, Barbara, assists him and is an interpreter for the Deaf.
