Transcript

[Mr. Jonathan] Jelly! What are you doing? You can’t steal people’s bananas!

[Jelly] What? Why?

[Mr. Jonathan] Well, for one, it’s mean. Secondly, it’s against the law. And most importantly, it’s breaking one of God’s commandments.

[Jelly] Oh, yeah. It’s hard to remember all ten.

[Mr. Jonathan] It is. You’re right, it is hard to remember. But when I was young, when I was your age –

[Jelly] You were a kid? AAAAAHHH!

[Mr. Jonathan] Yeah, yeah, I was a kid. I didn’t have white hair and a blue face, but when I was your size, I used to sing this fun song that would help me remember the Ten Commandments. You want to hear it?

[Jelly] Yes! Yes! Yes! Is this a country song?

[Mr. Jonathan] Yeah, it is a country song. What’d you expect, hip hop? And make sure you count along with us.

1 You shall not have other gods before Me.
2 Don’t worship images from heaven or sea.
3 You shall not take the Lord your God’s name in vain,
4 Don’t forget the Sabbath; it is holy not plain.
5 Honor your parents; don’t be mean because that’s wrong.

That’s the first half of the song; let’s all sing along!

6 You shall not murder; don’t you get that mad.
7 Don’t commit adultery; because God says it’s bad.
8 You shall not steal because you know that ain’t yours.
9 You shall not lie; tell the truth, of course.
10 You shall not covet other people’s stuff.

Obey the 10 commandments and you’ll show God your love!

[Jelly] What a fun way to learn the commandments!

[Mr. Jonathan] Yeah, it was fun, wasn’t it? You want a bite, Jelly? Okay. Small bite! Blue fuzz. Jelly!
