Camp Florida, located on Lake Placid in central Florida, seeks to provide a Christ-centered camp environment where guests can experience God surrounded by His creation. Within a 90-minute drive from Disney World and Sea World, the camp is built for fun! 

Camp Florida offers many activities including Christian living, crafts, swimming (lake), basketball, kickball, volleyball, human foosball, 9-square, soccer, gaga ball, a water slide, hiking, movie night, novelty Olympics, dance class, fishing, a trampoline and, of course, time at the beach! We teach children not to be moved by the storms of this world, but to be sheltered in God’s love and promises. We want to grow our next generation to be strong in the Word and ready for life’s challenges. 

We are looking for energetic and patient teens and adults to serve in all areas of camp, including as counselors, activity coordinators, lifeguards and nurses. Dorms are arranged by age. Teen staff as young as 16 are welcome without a parent/guardian accompanying them. 

If you have more than one child attending, we can assist based on your needs. To attend, campers must have successfully slept away from parents/guardians for the length of camp and be able to shower without assistance. 

All payments should be mailed when you apply. Your application is not considered complete until payment is received. 

If for any reason you’re not accepted to camp, your fee will be refunded. More info is posted at uyc.ucg.org.
