Ingredients

1 cup corn meal 2 cups water (boiling) 1⁄2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter 1 egg (beaten)

Instructions

Pour boiling water over corn meal and cook slowly for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from stove. Add salt, butter and egg. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. 

Notes

Optional: Add grated cheese to mixture before baking.
