Norwegian Flatbread

A favorite unleavened bread recipe of ours that was given to us by a friend in South Africa.

Ingredients

1 cup whole-wheat flour 1 cup instant oats   pinch salt 1⁄4 cup olive oil 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Mix oats,flour and salt. Mix oil and water.
  2. Add liquid to dry ingredients. Should result in a pastry-like texture.
  3. Take a handful of dough mixture.
  4. Roll out to desired thickness.
  5. Cut into squares. Bake at 350 degrees for +/- 5-9 minutes or until bread is slightly brown.
Notes

Gluten free flour can be substituted as well.
