A slightly crunchy, delicious oat and chocolate bar.

Ingredients

1⁄2 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 pinch salt 2 cups rolled oats   chocolate chips (to taste)

Instructions

Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 x 2 pan. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes. While still hot, sprinkle with chocolate chips and spread. Cool. Cut into bars. Makes about 2 dozen.
