Southern Corn Bread

A sweet, moist and delicious cornbread muffin.
Preparation time

Ingredients
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1⁄4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1⁄4 cup shortening
1 cup milk
Instructions
Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, and salt. Add remaining ingredients and stir until moist. Pour into muffin pan. Bake at 425º for 20-25 minutes.
