Treasure Digest: What's Wrong These Days?

Is anything wrong anymore?

Is anything wrong anymore? Today, it seems, it depends who you ask. The Barna Research Group (www.barna.org) asked more than a thousand American adults about 10 behaviors to see which they felt were "morally acceptable." A majority felt gambling (61 percent), cohabitation (60 percent) and sexual fantasies (59 percent) were OK.

"There were also huge differences in moral viewpoints based upon a person's generation," the report said. The younger the person, the more likely the person is to feel that these actions are acceptable. So morality looks likely to continue to decline. In just two years, for instance, acceptance of abortion jumped 25 percent, and acceptance of gay sex increased 20 percent.
