The Caribbean region conducted its fifth Caribbean Leadership Training seminar Aug. 4 to 7 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Clyde and Dee Kilough arrived in South Africa on Aug. 25 to attend a National Council meeting and ministerial conference at a venue in one of the country's wildlife reserves, the Kruger National Park.

Sept. 4 through 21, my wife, Sharron, and I traveled to East Africa to assist John and Merrie Elliott. Our purpose was to visit as many members and prospective members as possible in the two weeks that we had available.

Aug. 22 was a day to be much remembered in the minds of the UCG members in Nigeria.

On June 11 David Baker, senior pastor for Asia, and Fil Olimpo, a member living in Bangkok, Thailand, visited the family of Davidson Lay Beh at their home in Mae Sot, near the Thai-Burmese border.

The largest renewal of Good News subscribers ever conducted by UCG–Australia (8,914 subscribers were sent renewal notices) resulted in a response rate of 42.5 percent. This is the highest response rate so far.

"Women Sharing and Fulfilling Titus 2:3-5" was the theme for the first UCG Charlotte, North Carolina, ladies' tea Aug. 26.

The Miami, Florida, congregation held its second Sabbath school graduation on Aug. 19.

For the first time ever, Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida, young adults combined to serve at the Miami congregation's Young Adults' Day.

On the weekend of July 13 to 16, approximately 110 teens and young adults gathered for the second Southern California Teen/Young Adult Weekend.

Brethren from the Fairview Heights, Illinois, congregation gathered at Carlyle Lake June 9 to 11 for a weekend of camping and fellowship.

Daniel Martinez of the San Luis Potosi, Mexico, congregation was named Student of the Year in June 2006.

Sara Speed has passed her 98th birthday and is doing well.

Two Portsmouth, Ohio, couples, Red and Naomi Ruggles and Ralph and Mildred Smith, have been married 60 years or more.
