2024 Feast of Tabernacles: Agra, India

3 minutes read time

Brethren at the Feast site in Agra, India enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship, staying in the same hotel and having meals together.

Brethren from the United States joined our Indian brethren to observe God’s Feast of Tabernacles at the Grand Mercure Hotel overlooking the famous Taj Mahal known as one of the seven wonders of the world.

We enjoyed the Indian tradition of all members staying in the same hotel, eating three buffet meals together, and having services in the hotel meeting room. This quickly brought our Church family closer together.

Services were in English with interpretation into the Hindi language. When Mr. Shabi’s English Feast messages were played, the brethren gathered together in a large circle and reviewed the messages with our bilingual English/Hindi speaking brethren.

The Feast days were full of daily fellowship and tea time as well as iron sharpening iron in Bible workshops and Bible trivia. Other fellowship opportunities included a game night with prizes, two Bible movie nights and a variety show, showcasing local and international talent.

There was enjoyable fellowship on the rooftop of the hotel which has a beautiful view of the world-famous Taj Mahal. An enjoyable puppet show was provided by the hotel. Lastly, we had “Pizza Night” at the Rooftop Cafe which was a delightful evening under the stars for everyone.

Our Indian brethren don't have opportunities to go to a swimming pool, and they experienced such fun and laughter as the children and adults splashed, jumped and giggled with joy. A couple of children and one adult learned how to swim after three days of diligent practice. Several brethren also took advantage of taking an afternoon tour of the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. They also visited two of the local Agra Church members’ homes. This is especially enjoyable for our United States brethren to get out of the hotel and into the local Agra neighborhood.

The highlight of the Feast was asking for God’s blessing for a sweet Indian baby girl and three baptisms as a married couple and a young man entered into the New Covenant with their Maker. What a wonderful afternoon as we rejoiced with our God and His angels!

You are invited to join your Indian brothers and sisters at next year's Feast. A visit to India will be a life-changing experience. If you want to travel internationally and you earnestly seek to meet and serve your brothers and sisters in Christ who live overseas, the Feast in India would be an exceptional opportunity for you. You can make a difference by sharing your time, talent and love with your Indian brothers and sisters. There is a need for Church elders and speakers to serve at the Feast in India in 2025 and share daily messages during the Feast. For all who come, this will be a Feast you will not soon forget.
