Helper BEES Needed

Contracting for New Media Position

Do you or someone you know have the skill, desire and passion to help propel digital media efforts forward in the Baltics, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia? If so, we are seeking a part-time Digital Media Assistant.

The selected individual will contract for at least 20 hours per week helping with a number of tasks that require skills in social media and with basic computer software. Marketing knowledge is a plus.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Assisting with translation efforts. (We have a thorough written process to follow using Google Sheets that does not require knowledge of any language except English). The selected individual will:

  1. make sure that documents are available for translation each week.
  2. Ensure the master spreadsheet is functional and up-to-date.
  3. Upload the translated documents that have been completed onto our website each week.

The process will be simple for anyone familiar with Google Sheets and basic content management platforms. The individual should be familiar with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices and apply these when updating content for the web.

The Digital Media Assistant will make sure the UCGEurope YouTube page is updated each week and run assigned promotional campaigns in the BEES (Baltics, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia) region.

The selected individual will be involved in helping produce, manage and post social media content relevant to the BEES audience. This will require knowledge of social media as well as basic knowledge in laying out content, using photo editing software, etc. It will require working with provided translation software and the translation team where appropriate to produce content in targeted languages. It will also require a strong command of the English language, consciousness of the impact of cultural variance on preaching the gospel in disparate regions, and of course a strong knowledge of UCG doctrines.

The Digital Media Assistant will help edit and upload podcasts to podcasting platforms. This includes creating appropriate cover art for each episode and cross-promotion with social media channels.

Additionally, the individual will occasionally help with physical mailings and will create and manage a contact database for this purpose.

Other duties may be assigned when time permits.

Graphic Design

We’re looking for volunteers to help with a curriculum project for UCG. We are developing a printable and digital set of lessons for kids and parents to use. The goal is to provide something for kids ages 5-18 with a total of around 20-25 lessons per year.

We need a few volunteers that might be able to help with design elements for the lessons that could work in both the printable and digital version. The ideal design would tie the lessons together for a consistent look, while tailoring graphics to the age level of each individual lesson.

If you have skills in graphic design and art and are willing to share your time and talent, please contact Matthew Terry at matthew@mwterry.com
