President's Letter
Dear Brethren,
The last four annual festivals of God are almost here, arriving at a time of seasonal change. The easy days of summer’s green, warmth and productivity will soon give way to autumn. Of course, for our brethren south of the equator, the seasons are reversed—spring comes instead of winter—yet the feeling of one season ending and another beginning remains the same. Falling leaves in the north signal an impending, cold and hostile winter. In a similar way, Jesus pointed to a budding fig tree—its leaves emerging as summer draws near—to warn us that dramatic changes are coming, sooner than we think (Matthew 24:32-33).
In ancient Israel, trumpets pierced through daily routines to awaken the people, summon an assembly, declare war or announce a decree from God. “A change has come to you!” the trumpet announced.
The Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day herald changes of greater scope than humanity has ever experienced. “Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it” (Jeremiah 30:7). God’s autumn Feasts picture great events, and we are privileged to glimpse the future as we observe them today. Their purpose, though, reaches beyond simply showing us what is coming—they call us to be ready for what’s ahead.
How can we spiritually prepare to observe these upcoming Feasts properly? One major way is to celebrate them by showing agape love for God and for one another.
“And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment” (1 John 3:23).
“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart” (1 Peter 1:22).
“Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law” (Romans 13:8).
“For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another” (1 John 3:11).
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God” (1 John 4:7).
“If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us” (verse 12).
Let us prepare to observe the upcoming Feasts as God intended, with serving and sharing, so that everyone attending will have a joyful Feast (Deuteronomy 16:14).
Let us make ourselves ready by growing in love for God with all our heart and loving our fellow man as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40).

Ordination of David Lechien
We’re happy to announce that on Aug. 15, 2026, David Lechien was ordained into the ministry. He and his wife, Christine, attend the Stirling congregation in Scotland, and David serves full time as assistant pastor for Francophone Europe and French West Africa.

Financial Services
Job Opening: Accounting Manager
The Financial Services department is seeking an experienced accounting manager to support the Church’s growing financial needs. This management position oversees the Church’s daily accounting operations and helps ensure the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of its financial records and reports.
Key responsibilities include general accounting, financial reporting and analysis, cash management, accounts payable and receivable, internal controls, and support for payroll and benefits administration. The accounting manager will also assist with budgeting, audits and tax-related matters.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements and managing the month-end close process.
- Supervisory experience, preferably in an accounting or finance environment.
- CPA certification and experience with nonprofit or fund accounting are preferred.
