Blankets for Love

United Church of God in Flint, Michigan, partnered with Children’s Miracle Network at Hurley Medical Center with a service project called Blankets for Love.
We put together fleece blankets to be given to children admitted to the hospital in dire circumstances. Over a month’s time, our congregation had two preparation days, which included measuring and cutting beautiful designed fabric for the main event. Our project was a success! With donations and volunteers from the local congregation and the Davison Odd Fellows, we exceeded our goal of 25 blankets.
In total, Hurley Pediatric gladly accepted 39 blankets to express love and bring hope to children 0-18 years of age. In fact, it helped them restock the nearly empty cabinet and immediately gift to a few children that day! A worthwhile cause, bringing God’s people together to love one another and be a light to the world.
