The General Conference of Elders passed two amendments to the By-laws of the United Church of God.

The two amendments are:

Amendment to Bylaws 8.4.3—this allows the Council to operate when there are no candidates in line to fill the vacancy or vacancies (so long as there is a quorum of 8 Council members for a meeting), and also gives the Council the authority to appoint someone to a vacancy until it can be filled by an election. This amendment passed with 203 yes votes, 28 no votes.

Amendment to Bylaws 9.1 and 9.2—no member of the management team (all officers and operation managers) may serve concurrently on the Council. This amendment passed with 201 yes votes, 29 no votes.
