Today was finally the first official day we spent time with the children in the home. I walked in the home and the children seemed so happy to see all of us. Once we got to spend some time with the kids, we all started warming up to each other, and we were all so glad to be together, both the kids and our team. I sat down on the floor rug and immediately had the kids come and sit with me. Gabriel, such a sweet little guy, came up and wrapped his arms around me and Flory and Jared both came over to sit in my lap while showing me their scrapbooks. That instantly made me so happy to just sit there with those kids and hold them. They all smiled so much and from then on, the day just got better! I felt a connection with those kids and was so happy to spend time with them. I can’t wait for tomorrow!
