Today was an interesting day, with many events occurring, such as the pool party and the work project. The pool party was fun. I tried to stay as dry as possible during the party while enjoying the chance to encourage a few people into the pool. I believe that I got everyone into the pool at least once except for a few people. The plotting then commenced, as my fellow volunteers decided that I needed to get wet. It eventually took five grown men to coerce me into the pool by picking me up. Many of the children had great fun with the hand-made sponge balls and balloons supplied. It was a great afternoon for all.
Afterward, we decided that we should put in an hour on the work project, which was very successful. It's been a long day and a tiring day, but a very fulfilling day.
