This week has been eventful with a leadership conference in Europe, and several exciting events to add to your calendar!
European Leadership Conference
As reported by President Rick Shabi last week, more than 65 ministers, their wives and leaders from five European countries gathered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, earlier this week for a series of seminars and discussions to focus on the work of the Church in Europe.
Rick Shabi, Tim Pebworth, Aaron Dean, Steve Myers and Darris McNeely (along with their wives) traveled to Europe for the first such Church conference since 1996. More details and reports will follow in the coming weeks.
Save the Date: Northwest Regional Teen Prom
You are invited to the Northwest Regional Teen Prom which is going to be held from May 23–26, 2025 in Salem, Oregon.
The theme for the weekend will be “Consider the Lilies,” and we look forward to welcoming Steve Myers as our guest speaker for the event.
More information will be forthcoming, but for now, please save the date and plan to join us in Salem, Oregon this coming May for the Northwest Regional Teen Prom.
Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Family Weekend, Teen Prom and Young Adult Fellowship
REGISTRATION COMING SOON!
Join us for a dynamic weekend, March 21–23, 2025 featuring:
- Enriching Bible studies.
- Uplifting church services.
- A memorable teen prom (for ages 12–19) with recognition of graduating seniors.
- A young adult dinner and activities (for ages 18–35).
- A family dance.
- And engaging sports events.
This weekend is a perfect opportunity for our church family to deepen connections, strengthen faith and create cherished memories together. Most activities will take place at the Four Points Sheraton in Coppell, Texas, which conveniently provides a free shuttle to and from the DFW Airport.
The weekend will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday evening with a dessert social, and will conclude on Sunday, at 3 p.m. Registration for the weekend will be available soon.

The World News and Prophecy landing page now has a third video recording available, “Standing Firm in Babylon: Lessons on Faith and Identity.”
REMINDER: Complete list of class recordings
A complete list of all Ambassador Bible College class recordings can be found by navigating to “Ambassador Bible College” on our website’s “Member” menu. Then, click on “ABC Courses.”
On the Courses page you will find all our class recordings—mostly audio recordings from over the years. But those recorded on video are now tagged “Yes” in the right column of the class course recordings list.

Save-the-Date: Atlanta Ski Trip at Ober Mountain, Tennessee
The Atlanta UCG congregation is once more planning its annual ski trip. This year our ski and snowboard event is scheduled for Feb. 1–2, 2025. The trip will begin with Sabbath services in Knoxville, Tennessee on Feb. 1. Then on Sunday, we will be on the slopes at Ober Mountain’s updated lodge. Details for this year’s trip will available on Jan. 5, 2025 at http://atlanta.ucg.org under Announcements.
Block off the first weekend in February on your calendar, reserve a nearby hotel room (recommended hotels will be listed on our Atlanta UCG website), and get ready for another year of fun, fellowship and activities on the slopes in the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. See you there!
Note: The Atlanta Ski Trip is based on adequate skiing conditions. For this reason, we recommend that you reserve a hotel room that can be cancelled in case there happens to be minimal snowfall this year.
2025 Southeast Weekend in Atlanta, Feb. 28 – Mar. 2
The Atlanta and Buford, Georgia United Church of God congregations invite those ages 13–19 and their families to celebrate an evening of “Knights, Lords, and Ladies” at this year’s UCG Southeast Regional Formal Weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The weekend includes Sabbath Services, a dinner, a Senior Recognition and a Sunday morning activity. Dress for the formal dance is formal, semi-formal or Sabbath attire.

Registration will begin Jan. 14 and be open until Feb. 14, 2025.
SENIOR BIO FORM
We plan to honor graduating high school seniors who will be in attendance.
