Home Office Weekly Update
Pastoral Development Program
Ministerial and Member Services held a Pastoral Development Program at the home office Jan. 19–23. We had 11 men and nine of their wives spend 35 hours in intensive instruction and workshop time together.
The inspiring week of in-depth topics provided important material for our newer pastors and ministerial trainees to help further their service to the brethren. Everyone was encouraged and energized by the teamwork and camaraderie built throughout the week by this very fine group of Church leaders.
The “sound stage” area of the Video Recording Studio was used for the majority of class time.
United News: New Features
Thank you to those who took the time to fill out the United News survey! After reviewing responses, we have recognized the value of adding a more easily-accessible digital option to our current print version. This is not designed to replace our continued print production of the publication, but to add new and enhanced viewing features online using the capabilities of our new website.
You can find United News online at ucg.org/members/united-news. On this page you can easily access the latest United News articles and links to previous issues. When you click on a specific issue, you will see links to individual articles below the welcome statement. While previously only a small selection of articles was visible, requiring that you download the PDF to read the entire publication online, it will now be possible to select all of the content from the Table of Contents below.
Enhanced Photo Galleries and Announcements
Beginning with the January-February 2025 issue of United News, you will be able to view items such as photo galleries, member announcements and upcoming events in their own sections. Sections such as “Resources for the Whole Family” include clickable links and graphics and a separate downloadable version of the “Children’s Corner” activity. This new format is more mobile-friendly, although a PDF copy of the issue will still be available for your convenience.
Trouble navigating to the page? One easy way to easily access United News online is to create a shortcut on your phone’s home screen. First, open the United News homepage (ucg.org/members/united-news), then follow the following instructions:
Creating iPhone Shortcut
In Safari, while at ucg.org/members/united-news, tap the “Share” button (looks like a square with an arrow), then scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen.” You can then customize the name of the shortcut before tapping “Add” to place it on your home screen.
Creating Android Shortcut
In Chrome, while at ucg.org/members/united-news, tap the menu icon (three dots in the top right corner) and select “Add to Home screen.” You can then choose a name for the shortcut before adding it to your home screen.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback!

REMINDER: World News and Prophecy—Daniel
The World News and Prophecy landing page now has eight video recordings available.
Check back each week for a new class recording. The second part in the series to follow mid next year will be about the book of Revelation.
Complete list of class recordings
A complete list of all Ambassador Bible College class recordings can be found by navigating to “Ambassador Bible College” on our website’s “Member” menu. Then, click on “ABC Courses.”
On the Courses page you will find all our class recordings—mostly audio recordings from over the years. But those recorded on video are now tagged “Yes” in the right column of the class course recordings list.
