Hye Sierra Location and Dates Changed for 2021

Camp Hye Sierra has moved to Camp Wamatochick in Prescott, Arizona. The dates have been changed to July 4-11. More details below!

If you can no longer attend this camp due to the date change, please see below.

Plans are underway for the shift in our southwest regional camp from Camp Hye Sierra to Camp Wamatochick (wa-ma-TOE-chick) for the summer of 2021.

For those who have already applied to Camp Hye Sierra, it should be noted that both the location and dates have changed. Camp Wamatochick will be held July 4–11 outside of Prescott, Arizona, with staff arriving July 2. It is incredibly important if you have applied as a camper or as a staff member and are not able to attend as a result of the date change or change in location, to email uyc@ucg.org and ask them to remove your application between now and April 30 to aid in the approval process.

If you have applied to Hye Sierra as a camper or staff, and still plan to attend Camp Wamatochick—nothing further is needed, your existing application is fine. For those who haven’t applied yet, and want to—you will not see Camp Wamatochick on the application; please select Camp Hye Sierra when you complete your application to be considered.
